Dr. Becca Joy Chibnall

Board Director

Dr. Becca Joy Chibnall joined Dignity Period's board in 2020 as a board-certified dermatologist who is passionate about menstrual care and infant diapering practices, and the unmet need for both in many communities around the world.

Becca trained with Dr. Libby Edwards, author of The Genital Dermatology Atlas, during her dermatology residency, gaining invaluable knowledge of vulvar dermatology and fostering her passion for women's health advocacy.

Becca's care philosophy is best summarized by Dr. Francis W. Peabody's words:  "Time, sympathy and understanding must be lavishly dispensed, but the reward is to be found in that personal bond which forms the greatest satisfaction of the practice of medicine. One of the essential qualities of the clinician is interest in humanity, for the secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient."

Becca graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 2007 with a BA in biology and religious studies. She began medical school at Keck School of Medicine - USC in East Los Angeles, where she graduated in 2012 with highest distinction.

Becca completed an internship in general surgery at St. Louis University Hospital and finished her training with dermatology residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in 2016.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Becca now calls St. Louis home, where she lives with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she grows fruits and vegetables as an organic gardener and suburban farmer.
