Dr. Zenawi Zerihun is Dignity Period's Project Manager in Ethiopia and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages at Mekelle University. He serves as a guidance and counseling officer, freshman program coordinator and head of the Academic Development Center at the university, one of the largest in Ethiopia.

Zenawi has led an collaborated on numerous published research studies on a wide range of topics, including women's need to access water for economic use, and comparisons of students' academic performance in conventional vs. alternative schools.

Zenawi holds Ph.D. and master's degrees in Educational Psychology from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, and Addis Ababa University, respectively.
