What does Dignity Period do? 

The Dignity Period mission: To impact period poverty around the globe by improving access to accurate menstrual information and distributing high-quality washable/reusable menstrual hygiene products. We are motivated by the belief that those who menstruate should do so with comfort and in dignity. 

 

How can I get involved?

Does Dignity Period offer internships? 

We do not currently offer internships through our organization. 

 

If I’m traveling to Ethiopia, would Dignity Period like to sponsor me in my work? 

We do not currently sponsor trips, research, or other initiatives for individuals or groups outside of the Dignity Period organization or partner organizations.

 

Who makes Dignity Period's menstruation supplies? 

We purchase sanitary pad kits from the Mariam Seba Sanitary Products Factory in the Mekelle Ethiopia, as well as Cotton Babies in St. Louis.

 

How are the pads made?

Pads are made with a quality cotton lining and have a waterproof backing.

 

Can I/my organization purchase those pads?

Are your menstruation educational materials available via donation or purchase? 

Currently, our educational materials are only available for Dignity Period program outreach, which is managed by Mekelle University.

 

Does Dignity Period offer services outside of Ethiopia? 

Our primary mission is centered in Ethiopia. And enlightening research discoveries about menstruation needs in our hometown of St. Louis, has led to a local pilot project.

 

Does Dignity Period do presentations for group meetings? 

We love giving presentations about our mission. To keep our community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are hosting all presentations online.
