We're FALLING for Dignity!

Our first Dash for Dignity fun run is in the books — and it was a resounding success! On Saturday, October 3rd, 43 participants came together and raised $4,000 to support Dignity Period’s work to ensure people who need menstrual supplies won’t have to go without. Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our sponsor, The Maroon Project, and to the many volunteers who helped make the day possible. You made a difference!

You can see more pictures from the event here.

We're Wrapping up Back to School and you can help....

When Bethelhem was 13, she got her period for the first time. It happened in class, and she was shocked—she knew nothing about menstruation. When she got up to leave the room, her classmates whispered and laughed behind her back, and she was ashamed and confused. One of her friends approached her to tell her that her dress was smeared with blood. Bethelhem went home sick that day and was absent for the next three days. She’d never missed school before.

Luckily, Bethelhem had a friend who taught her about menstruation and helped her talk to her mom about it. Because too many girls don’t have this support, Bethelhem became a peer educator with Dignity Period, where she shares her experience and teaches other girls what to expect when they get their periods, so they are prepared and don’t feel ashamed of this natural part of life.

Dignity Period has educated students like Bethelhem about menstruation in Ethiopia’s Tigray region for more than 10 years. As students return to their classrooms this fall, help us reach girls who don't have access to menstrual education or period supplies. Just $15 provides one girl with period protection for more than a year and makes sure she can attend school with dignity.

We are only $1,500 away from our $10,000 goal! If you would like to help us wrap up our Back-to-School campaign and reach our goal, donate here!

Get involved with Dignity Period through volunteering and raise awareness about period poverty abroad and here at home!

We frequently host Period Kit Packing Nights in St. Louis, where volunteers assemble kits with washable, reusable menstrual pads for those in need. There are also opportunities to help organize our annual Paint It Pink Gala, volunteer for events, or join committees. And don’t miss out on gatherings like Empower Hour or fundraising events.

Check out the opportunities listed below or subscribe to our newsletter for the latest updates.

Our annual Paint It Pink Gala will be on Saturday, April 10th, 2027. Mark your calendars. Registration will open early
