Dignity Period reaches more than 3500 indviduals in 2021!

Updated: Apr 11, 2022

Dignity Period recently began a U.S. outreach program in 2021. Throughout 2021, DP partnered with collaborative community groups to expand our reach from Ethiopia into the St. Louis metro area and beyond.

In 2021, we were able to provide pad kits to over 25 middle and high schools in the greater St. Louis area. We forged partnerships with organizations in Washington state, New Jersey, Illinois, Florida and more. We supplied pad kits to libraries, food banks and shelters. Through these strategic collaborations, we provided 3800 indviduals with a DP pad kit and comfort knowing their menstrual hygiene needs are met.

Our reusable pads give girls and women a sustainable solution to managing their periods. Each kit includes four pads, made with the same high-quality, super-absorbent material that our partners at Cottonbabies use in their cloth diapers.

Your support will help us provide more pads to more individuals, expanding our reach to more communities.

Continuing to stand by in Tigray

Unfortunately, the Dignity Period Project in Ethiopia continues to be impacted by political troubles. Communication with the Tigray region remains very intermittent. Our Ethiopian project team is standing by and distributing pad kits where and when it is safe. We continue to provide pad kits to post partum women through a partnership with Ayder Hospital and to refugees in the Tigray area. We will provide updates if and when we receive them. In the meantime, please keep the people of Ethiopia in your hearts and prayers.
