Dignity Period’s 6th Annual Gala was an entertaining event that brought together the organization’s champions for an evening of celebration, comedy, juggling, live auctions, and shopping in an Ethiopian-inspired market.
The turnout was better than ever with 275 attendees, and the mission was front-and-center with 2019 CNN Hero of the Year Freweini Mebrahtu joining in the fun. A new CNN video featuring Freweini's work was shared for the first time at the Gala. You can view it here.
Altogether, the event raised more than $85,000 that will support Dignity Period’s work to keep girls in school by providing quality menstruation supplies and educational materials.
